Zaideth Muniz (pictured right) won ImaginePittsburgh.com’s Baseball & the Burgh sweepstakes, winning a weekend trip to Pittsburgh during the Pirates last home stand of the 2014 season. Classmate and friend Zaylis Zayas accompanied her on the trip, which include VIP passes to the game, a surprise meeting with Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Starling Marte and Vera Clemente (widow of the late, great Pirates right field and humanitarian Roberto Clemente), great meals at some of downtown Pittsburgh’s hippest restaurants, and tickets to the Pittsburgh premiere of the musical Clemente: The Legend of 21.
Both women graduate from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez in December 2014. Like many job seekers from the island, they are considering jobs across the U.S. mainland.
