"I love walking through all of the different neighborhoods of Pittsburgh."
With her Egyptian heritage, Maryisis has always had an expansive worldview. Yet it’s the close-knit neighborhoods, communities and friendly people that shape her love for the Pittsburgh region.
“Summer is a great time for walking through all of the neighborhoods here. Everyone is outside and there is a lot to do.” One of her favorites in the summer is the Cinema in the Park movie series, which she loves to watch at Flagstaff Hill in Schenley Park overlooking the city skyline. She’s active in St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Ambridge, Beaver County, where she serves with Sunday School and takes young parishioners on field trips to such places as PPG Place’s ice skating rink downtown.
As a wealth management/tax services professional at PwC, Maryisis works across teams to review documentation and keep client accounts up-to-date with tax law. She enjoys working downtown and loves the access to restaurants and proximity to the cultural district.
She credits her mother with nuturing her appreciation for performing arts by the world-renowned Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre.
