Vegetarian Options in Pittsburgh

Over the past few years, Pittsburgh has transformed itself into a foodie's paradise with the introduction of BYOB, farm to table, and experimental and specialty eateries. But while the city can rattle off Italian grocers, French bakeries, and restaurants run on local fare, its vegetarian and vegan options seemed scarce. Or, really, just hidden. It turns out that Pittsburgh has quite a few strictly vegetarian restaurants, as well as vegetarian options in some unexpected places. For starters, SouthSide's Double Wide Grill boasts an extensive menu with vegetarian options that are equally delicious as its meat entrees.
