The Three Rivers Heritage Trail is part of the increasingly expansive trail system in the city. Consisting of 24 miles of walking, jogging, cycling, and rollerblading space, the trail runs along both sides of the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio rivers. On any given day, numerous joggers, bikers and bladders can be seen enjoying the trail solo or with their friends and family. A popular part of the trail to enjoy is the stretch from Oakland, over the Hot Metal Bridge and into South Side and down to Point State Park in Downtown Pittsburgh. The Trail has been a great addition to the city, allowing Pittsburghers to get out and get active in any way they choose while also taking in the cityscape.
