Salsa Dancing in Pittsburgh

¡Sin Salsa No Hay Paraiso!

The options for salsa dancing in the Pittsburgh region are numerous and growing. Popular spots open to the public and welcoming beginners as of this writing include Seviche (Monday nights), Los Sabrosos Dance Studio (Wednesdays and Saturdays), Perle (Thursdays) and Cabaret at Theater Square (Fridays).

To stay up to date all things salsa-related in the region, check out SalsaPittsburgh.com, created and curated by veteran dance instructors Jeff and Colleen Shirey. The regularly updated site features information on salsa-related performances, gatherings, classes, bands, clubs and DJs. The Shireys are also highly sought-after teachers for both private lessons and their weekly progressive classes at the Wightman School Community Building in Squirrel Hill. They also lead the free beginner lessons at 10 p.m. Friday nights at the Cabaret at Theater Square on Penn Avenue, Downtown.
