The Rivers of Steel Heritage Area is dedicated to conserving, developing, and interpreting historical, cultural, and recreation resources within western Pennsylvania. The heritage area depicts the area's progression from working with industrious steel to today's up and coming technology. Visitors will see the Carrie Blast Furnaces 6 and 7, Pinkerton's Landing and the pump house and water tower at the former site of United States Steel Homestead Works.
