Point Breeze

Point Breeze is a largely residential neighborhood on the far east end of Pittsburgh. Another great neighborhood to raise a family in, the sleepy hamlet of Point Breeze has lovely, tree-lined streets, beautiful homes and great schools. Point Breeze is adjacent to the city neighborhoods of Regent Square, Squirrel Hill, Shadyside and Homewood. Like nearby Squirrel Hill, Point Breeze contains a large Jewish Population but remains largely Catholic. The neighborhood contributes a large percentage of students attending Taylor Allderdice High School and Central Catholic High School in Oakland. Point Breeze is also home to popular elementary school, Linden Academy, the Sterrett Middle School, Westinghouse Park, Mellon Park and the Shadyside Academy Junior School. The most prominent feature of Point Breeze is Henry Clay Frick's Clayton Mansion which is part of the Frick Art & Historical Center. Frick Park is also largely located in Point Breeze, making the neighborhood another great option for outdoor enthusiasts and dog-lovers.
