Pittsburgh Public Theater

The Pittsburgh Public Theatre is a contemporary theatre in the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh's Cultural District. It features a three-quarter thrust stage allowing the actors to be surrounded by the audience on three sides. In this way, the Public Theatre offers an intimate and engaged experience throughout the play. With each season comes a new set of amazing and diverse productions that span the entire entertainment spectrum from classics of the American theatre to international pieces and world premieres as well as contemporary plays and musicals. The Public Theatre collaborates with esteemed directors, exceptional actors, and stunning production values to deliver a world-class theatre experience for any and all Pittsburghers. The goal of the Public theatre is to not only provide artistically diverse theatrical experiences, but to enrich the community through outreach and educational initiatives as a non-profit professional theatre. If you're in the mood for an artistically thought-provoking night of culture and entertainment, stop by the Pittsburgh Public Theatre.
