Founded in 1985, the Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force (PATF) supports and empowers all individuals living with HIV/AIDS. It's mission is to prevent the spread of infection and remove its negative stigma to help those in need. The PATF offers support, information, and testing, and it collaborates with organizations and consumers to educate the community on the concepts of AIDS and HIV. It is the oldest and largest AIDS service organization in Southwestern Pennsylvania, and it makes a point of interacting with local residents, universities, and companies.
“In southwestern PA, I can be on the cutting edge of digital media during the week, and casting my fly rod or rock climbing on the weekends. It’s the best of both worlds.”
