North Shore Trail

The North Shore Trail is the most popular portion of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail system because it runs right along Pittsburgh's waterfront and serves as the main road running through the North Shore. The wide trail meanders along the northern shore of the Allegheny River for 8 miles from Brunot Island, past Downtown Pittsburgh and on into Millvale. The trail bypasses a lot of cool destinations and sites such as Heinz Field, PNC Park and the Downtown cityscape and features beautifully manicured green spaces giving joggers, bikers and walkers alike an equally entertaining and active day out in the city.
