North Park is 15 miles northeast of Downtown Pittsburgh and is the largest park in Allegheny County with 12,000 acres of scenic beauty and adventure. It sprawls across three different townships: Hampton, McCandless and Pine, and features the largest man-made body of water in Allegheny County, bordered on all sides by four miles of dense woodlands.
The park features a swimming pool, golf course, ice skating rink, movie theater, picnic groves, tennis courts, miles of trails, ball fields, basketball courts, boathouse, fishing lake, horseshoe pits, nature center, wildfowl reserve, batting range and even an exhilarating tree-top zip-lining course. Several days can be spent in North Park with much still left to discover.
