“Connect with diverse, young and community-minded people and organizations at events; find your community engagement fit with a one-stop organization list; join the mailing list for event info from 40+ organizations – all condensed into one place!“--Neighbor Abby Bolton
The New Pittsburgh Collaborative is a collective of diverse, civically-engaged, young-minded organizations
committed to the future of the Pittsburgh region. It supports the vitality and effectiveness of its member organizations while embodying the spirit of collaboration necessary for successful regional development.
Since its founding in 2002 with support from Elsie Hillman, The Sprout Fund and Councilman Bill Peduto, the NPC has provided opportunities for its membership to leverage their resources for regional gain. As an active coalition, the NPC enables a more cohesive young adult community that is aware of and actively engaged in regional issues, and therefore better prepared for professional and community leadership
. Unique to the region, the NPC is a central point of access and communication to and for young-adult like-minded organizations across 10 counties, promoting and supporting member organizations to the region at large and leveraging resources by facilitating partnerships among them. It also provides regional leadership experiences and networking connections
so that young adults may better affect regional change and progress.
