Western Pennsylvania Chapter

For over 65 years, the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) has represented qualified, reliable and experienced contractors throughout Western Pennsylvania and Southwestern New York. We represent the very best the electrical world has to offer. Our contractors utilize a highly skilled and exceptionally trained workforce through our partnership with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). Regardless of the size of the project, our contractors and employees are capable of any job, regardless of whether it is in a residential, commercial, institutional, industrial, or oil and gas setting.

Our Local JATC Training Facility is truly second to none in our industry. From the cutting edge calibration & instrumentation lab to the advanced motor control & programming room, we feel no JATC is more equipped to produce the very best the electrical industry has to offer. The JATC’s goal is to provide the highest quality training to those interested in a career in the various fields within the electrical industry. In addition to receiving skill training on the job, our apprentices are provided trade related classroom training that produces competency and pride that lead to true craftsmanship.

Western Pennsylvania NECA contractors and Local 5 IBEW electricians have the skills to take your job from a preplanning stage to completion. They not only have expertise in complete electrical systems including: electrical services, power distribution, emergency power backups, lighting, controls, branch circuits, audio/video, as well as solar and green technologies, but also in the instrumentation and calibration proficiencies needed to excel in the oil and gas industry. Whether it be on a compressor station in an oil field, a high-rise office building in a city, or a manufacturing plant on the outskirts of town, our contractors and labor workforce provide the customer with value, consistency, and a singularly driven determination to finish the project in a timely and safe manner.

I had an idea of what an electrician looked like; it certainly wasn’t me.
