With over 200 locations across North America and over a century of experience, Lamar leads the nation in Outdoor advertising through billboard, transit, and highway logo solutions for our customers and owns over 178,000 displays to share our customers' advertising messages. We pride ourselves on the company's strong values of its employees and their passion for outdoor advertising.
Across the county, Lamar has over 2,500 employees, who share in the company's founding beliefs and help uphold our company's values. We strive for the safety of the consumer, who view are impacted by our products, and for the safety of our employees, who make our advertising happen. Lamar follows the policies and procedures recommended by the Outdoor Advertising Association of America as well as all local, state, and federal rules and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment in the office and in the field.
Our company goal is to leave every place that we are privileged to operate, better than the way we found it. As a large network of employees, we understand the importance of green initiatives and sustainability in the workforce as well as being a corporate citizen. Lamar continues to move forward by switching to LED illumination and recyclable substrate for our billboard material to reduce waste. The office in Pittsburgh is a LEED-certified building by the U.S. Green Building Council and houses over 60 local employees.
To help make an impact in the community, we support many local initiatives and non-profit organization events, by helping these groups advertise mission statements and fundraising efforts. We aid law enforcement with FEMA, FBI, and Amber Alerts when needed.
With an even mix of field and office staff, we have a diverse group of employees of all ages and backgrounds. Lamar's management team allows employees balance work and home life, creating an encouraging and positive environment, where you can always feel at home even while working. By loving the staff, our community, and our corporation, Lamar Advertising Company proudly calls Pittsburgh one of its amazing homes.
