Il Pizzaiolo originally opened with the goal of creating old-world style pizzas. Now the Italian restaurants makes a variety of dishes - sausage, meatballs, pasta, antipasto vegetables - at its locations in Mt. Lebanon and Market Square. Il Pizzaiolo pays great attention to culinary detail. They use mozzarella di bufala from Naples, Pasta Faella, San Marzano tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil to ensure meals are an authentic Neapolitan culinary experience. Pizzas are baked at 1000° for less than 90 seconds in a handcrafted, wood-fired brick oven and are served hot. Buon appetito!
