Fort Pitt Tunnel

The Fort Pitt tunnel is cited by the New York Times as being the “best way to enter an American city.” Leaving behind grassy plains, the tunnel opens up to the Pittsburgh skyline. It has two lanes each for inbound and outbound traffic, which run beneath Mt. Washington. The Fort Pitt Tunnel grants all travelers a warm, scenic welcome to the city.
