Energy Alliance of Greater Pittsburgh

The Energy Alliance of Greater Pittsburgh is a collaboration of more than 100 businesses, universities, and other organizations with the purpose of facilitating the innovation, education, and coordination needed to enhance our energy economy and advance our region's global leadership in improving our environment.

Pittsburgh is the new center of American energy. Through the Energy Alliance of Greater Pittsburgh, we are implementing a new model for collaboration across business, NGOs, government and academia to maximize our region's competitive advantages in energy and related industries.

Through the Energy Alliance, we are promoting a collaborative environment for innovation where partners in the region's corporate, university, non-profit and government sectors come together to create a vibrant energy technology community.

There are a tremendous number of funding opportunities available through local, state and federal governments; foundations; nonprofits and corporations. The Energy Alliance is striving to create partnerships to maximize access to funding opportunities within the region. Through harnessing the activities of individuals and fostering collaboration, businesses and non-profits can turn competitive opportunities into winning proposals.

The Energy Alliance takes a collaborative approach to advocacy, recognizing the persuasive strength of a cross-sector voice pursuing shared energy policy goals.

The Energy Alliance Policy & Advocacy group promotes an understanding of the key policy issues for each of the energy sectors and finds common principles to guide advocacy that improves the business climate for energy job creation and investment, and protects environmental quality.
