Walk in our doors and the first thing you'll hear, see, and feel is the DDI difference. Our art-laden hallways open upon engaged colleagues collaborating in a variety of all-ideas-are-welcome spaces. Our business is people development, and within our walls, we practice what we teach.
Teamwork is a big deal here - we support our clients' needs and one another. A new DDI associate told us: “I've never had access to so many people who are so willing to answer a question or help with a project.” Semi-annual town halls provide updates, facilitate discussions with senior leaders, and reinforce the importance of each individual to DDI's mission.
Our all-for-one spirit extends to matters beyond work. “When I first started,” said another associate, “I was struck by an associate's all-company email, thanking everyone for the fundraiser, which helped him and his family following Hurricane Katrina.”
We understand that when both the personal and practical needs of our employees are met, they'll enjoy coming to work, be productive, take risks, and contribute to our culture. This is why DDI members have ownership for their own development, and why managers are passionate about supporting team members in pursuit of their goals. There are numerous ways to grow at DDI: Choose from a menu of professional development courses, engage a personal mentor, or join weekly webinars. And, speaking of menus, we offer in-house catering, along with a state-of-the-art fitness center.
Outside the office, we make it possible for people to pursue personal passions. A new program, DDI Sparks!, enables employees (with facilitation training) to deliver a DDI course - materials included - to a nonprofit organization of their choice. Also, from June through August, we celebrate summer with four-hour Fridays; all eligible employees receive six paid half-days off.
