Cure opened in January 2012 and in short order commanded local and national attention, including a nomination from Bon Appetit
for one of the magazine's 50 Best lists. This small eatery operated by chef (and PIttsburgh boomeranger) Justin Severino offers outstanding food in a casual yet refined setting. Bringing together his knowledge of cooking and butchering, Severino's menu features cured meats, in-season produce, expertly cooked meat dishes and more. A popular dish is the salumi platter, a special selection of housemade delights such as lardo, duck speck and duck rillettes. This farm-to-table venue maintains a good relationship with local farmers and food suppliers, and recently added a full bar.
