Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania, with local headquarters in Canonsburg, Pa., delivers clean, affordable and efficient natural gas to approximately 423,000 residential, industrial and government customers in 450 communities. It is one of seven regulated utility companies of NiSource, one of the largest fully-regulated utility companies in the United States, serving approximately 3.5 million natural gas customers and 500,000 electric customers through its local Columbia Gas and NIPSCO brands.
From 2007 – 2016, Columbia Gas invested nearly $1.35 billion in the modernization and expansion of its distribution system in Pennsylvania. Of that amount, approximately $1 billion was dedicated to replacing 826 miles of priority pipe. In 2017, Columbia Gas will invest approximately $260 million in Pennsylvania, with more than $200 million being invested to upgrade aging underground infrastructure.
