Big Brothers Big Sisters is an organization that provides youths facing adversity (“Littles”) with a one-on-one relationship with an older community member (“Bigs”). The group monitors the relationship between the Littles, usually ages six through eighteen, and the Bigs, spanning from college students onward. The Big and Little devise a schedule suitable for them both, and meet up for outings and activities, like going to a museum or fair, playing in the park, or just hanging out and talking. If you are interested in Big Brothers Big Sisters, you can go to their website to volunteer as a Big, enroll as a Little, or support the organization through donation.
